Did You Know?

• Ahsoka was created by George Lucas and Dave Filoni, and was originally intended as Obi-Wan Kenobi's Padawan before Lucas reassigned her to Anakin Skywalker.
• Her name was originally 'Ashla' before Lucas renamed her after the ancient Indian emperor Ashoka, with the spelling altered by screenwriter Henry Gilroy.
• Ashley Eckstein, who primarily voiced Ahsoka, said it took about six months for her and the writers to understand the character, leading to much of the dialogue for the first half of season one being re-recorded.
